Jewels on the street and at the ballet

And final thoughts from Milan - the Via Della Spiga set the scene for the ballet at La Scala on Saturday night - George Balanchine's Jewels.
Costume jewels on the street...(Dolce & Gabbana)

And at La Scala - sewn into the costumes (designed by Barbara Karinksa when the ballet opened in New York in 1967.

La Scala itself almost seems be-jeweled.

Starting to think about embellishment and beading. Maybe a future path for the project. We started to look at this with the British Bridal Sari competition... but haven't taken it further as yet.
